Camilleri work at EU Concert
THE first choral music concert featuring the music of European Union member states and of countries joining the Union next year was held recently in the Great Hall of the Conservatoire de la Ville in Luxembourg.
The Celebrity Concert, which featured "national" music from 24 countries, included Camilleri’s well known choral work Pacem in Maribus, to a text by Peter Serracino Inglott. It was performed by the Chorale Saint‑Michel conducted by Gerry Welter. Pacem in Maribus has also been recorded on CD by the Joyful Company Singers (London) on the ASV Label.
